OTHERWISE

1.) Remove bandage after 8 hours and gently wash with antibacterial soap (dial) and pat dry. Apply a very small amount of Vitalitree or Aquaphor and rub it in.
For the first three nights you will want to keep the tattoo covered with saran wrap while sleeping. (ONLY COVER IT AT NIGHT). This stops it from drying out or sticking to the sheets but leaving the wrap on longer will smother the tattoo and cause heat bumps and/or possible infection.
2.) In the mornings, remove the saran wrap, wash with antibacterial soap and water. Pat dry, apply a thin layer of ointment and rub it in and let it get plenty of air.
3.) Your tattoo will need to be washed 2-3 times daily. To do so, wash with warm water and antibacterial soap. Apply a thin layer of ointment. BE SURE NOT TO GLOB THE OINTMENT ON OR YOU WILL SMOTHER THE TATTOO.
4.) Keep out of the sun! Stay out of pools, lakes, hot tubs, or any type of chlorinated/salt water for AT LEAST 2 weeks. (CHLORINATED AND SALT WATER OF ANY KIND WILL EAT YOUR TATTOO AND CAUSE SERIOUS INFECTION!)
5.) DO NOT pick or scratch your tattoo. If it itches it means it is DRY. (SEE STEP 3)

(IF YOU PICK YOUR NEW TATTOO YOU RISK PULLING THE INK OUT!!) Artists are not responsible for these damages.

*Your tattoo will normally peel like a sunburn after the 4th-5th days. Don’t worry ink is not falling out.

*Also, we recommend skipping out of exercising at the gym, getting it sweaty and risk possible infection from the dirty equipment at the gym.

IF YOU COVER YOUR TATTOO DURING THE DAY AT WORK YOU WILL WANT TO UNWRAP AND LET IT GET AIR AT LEAST EVERY 4 hours.

If you follow these instructions there is no reason your tattoo should not heal up beautifully. We take great pride and care in the work we do.
