So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been tattooing for over 30 years and take pride in my tattoo work and studios. I prefer doing neo-traditional, traditional, portrait realism and old traditional styles of work. I have been tattooing in Houston since 1992 and opened my first Texas Body Art studio on Highway 6 in 1998. I, then opened my second studio on Jones Road in 2004. I am very grateful for the success of the studios.

Has it been a smooth road?
Every shop owners has their ups and down but over the years, Texas Body Art has developed a formula for offering great customer service that keeps clients happy and coming back for more.

Texas Body Art is a custom award winning tattoo shop located in Houston with two locations to serve their clients. We offer an upscale, clean, friendly environment. We practice the safest measures of safety in all of its operations of tattooing and piercing. Most of the work we do is custom artwork drawn by in-house artists in efforts to spread individuality among clients. Our artists will take walk in clients on a daily basis but we prefer to do original tattoos.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Houston is an amazing city. Especially after Harvey, we saw our community come together and help each other out. Our studios raised over $17,000 and donated it to the Justin J. Watt foundation in an effort to do our part to help the community. It’s really something to see a city come together like that!
